She was on a dark plane of existence- the shadows stretched out on all sides, expanding endlessly. Directly in front of her was a figure in chains, angel-like wings bound behind him. A blindfold ran across his eyes, and his long hair had grown during his imprisonment, pooling at his feet. Adrian felt a sense of familiarity with the figure. "At last you have come to visit me" a voice rasped, and though the figures lips never moved, she knew it was him who had spoken. Suddenly she was at his eye level, hanging in the air. The blindfold slipped off and his eyes snapped open, holding hers. She saw all her memories, all at once. The death, the sorrow, the cold, the hunger. She heard a sigh "A muse is born of pain" and she dropped, screaming. She felt as though flames were inside her, She curled instinctively, feeling as though the heat was burning through her back, up through the shoulder blades. She hit the ground-

Suddenly she was in a hot burning place, full of red sand and darkness. Black Crow stood above her, grinning manically. He came at her, tongue flicking out.  She screamed and pushed him away. He grabbed at her arm, twisting her around. He plunged his claws at her back and tore- laughing. She felt a wrench of pain as blood dripped down her shoulder blade. She turned, trying to get away- He grinned at her, licking blood off his fingers, a single feather caught up in a claw. He pulled back his arm, plunging those sharp claws towards her face-
Adrian gasped, bolting up from the bed, sweating heavily, her right shoulder ached, and she felt like the room was boiling. She shook the nightmare from her mind, and went to the bathroom, splashing water on her face. She stood for a while, clutching the sink, head bowed, trying to get some air that wasn't polluted by the nightmares. Once she felt a little more in control she sat on the cold tile floor, tilting her head back, letting the chill from the wall take the heat of the night away.

Avin glanced over the treetops from his place on the roof with hard eyes as his mind raced a thousand miles with troubling thoughts. Seeing Black Crow had shaken the very foundation that he had survived upon since he had been accepted as a potential candidate for the Executioner and now it was starting to crack. He had meet Black Crow when he was younger, back when the man had been under trial for killing a group of shape shifter demons, and the man had expressed interest in him. Or rather, he had expressed Lauxian's interest in him.

"Lord Lauxian sends his blessing to you, little master." Black Crow smiled at Avin who clutched desperately at his grandfather's hand, "And he cannot wait to see the wonders you bring in his name."

Avin shivered, "Damn him." he muttered, "The shakes won't stop."

Before he could contemplate further on memories though, there was a flare of demonic power. His head snapped in the direction of the flare before his muscles, which had tensed  in response, released their tension as he placed the power with a face. He smiled softly, "Welcome to the Mundane Dimension, Nattille."
"Thank you for the welcome, Lord Avin."

Turning to look behind him, Avin was greeted by a petit girl. She was very pretty with large shimmering honey eyes framed by her bleach white bangs while the rest of her flowing black hair fell in waves down her back. She wore her customary grey hat while her dress was outlandish, not even falling to her mid-thigh while having an open back, revealing her pale flesh. She was smiling sweetly at him as she slowly stepped toward him and gave a small curtsey.

He inclined his head and offered her his arm, "Thank you for coming on such short notice. I'm sure you were busy with your duties in the Demon Realm, especially with Lord Asmodeus' holiday coming."
"Lord Asmodeus' holiday is easy to plan for. After all, one only really needs to do is decide the main entertainment for the Seven Lords and make sure the priests have their dance's ready. Oh, and that everything is ready for the parade, but Daddy is taking care of it this year for me." She sighed, "And all I have to do is help you out and make sure you take care of yourself."

Avin groaned, "Nathanial didn't want to play babysitter."
"Yes, that's pretty much how Daddy put it."
As they made their way to the doorway leading to the attic, Avin pulled away, "Come, there is much we need to talk about."
"Yes, and I hope you will tell me about your recent catch." Avin shot her a look, "What! Did you really think you could hide the fact that you have a mundane female living with you?"

Guiding her inside Avin nodded, "I'll tell you about her, especially since I need you to do some looking into her for me."
He would learn as much as he could about her, before confronting her about her past.
