So I have no Idea what catagory Encaustics would go under. (painting with wax) cuz its sort of 3-d art, but its a painting, but its....... ?
anyway, I did this a while ago, and This is the most decent picture I have of it. its hard to get a good digital version of an encaustic paitning
not to mention this has gold oil paint rubbed in on some places, so Its shiney when there is light....

You should try a darker toned paper and then use red wax like a scary scene ^^
