Encaustics steam Punk

Soooooooooo I'm not exactly sure what catagory Encaustic arts would go into, but whatev. (for those of you who don't know what encaustic is, its painting with wax! sooo fun! you add pigment ot this special mixture of beeswax with a little of a special rosin to harden it and paint with it, the gears are made by using random metal objects to press into the wax, and then i used oil paints and rubbed it into the cracks, wiped off the excess, and then used a plummers torch or heatgun to burn it into the wax, ect ect)
its a very interesting and fun medium to work with.
I have two other major paintings i did on the nice wood panels, and once i can get a decent picture of them, i will put them up.

so yeah, the whole wax thing can be 3-D art, so the catagory was a hard one to choose. i wish i had a better picture too....oh well.
