Against a Crooked Sky

I'm sure I've seen that movie...but for the life of me, I can't remember what It's supposed to be about....(or is that a book title? hmmmmm)
but the title has always intrigued me. when I first saw all these dead trees and beautiful mountains, that is the first thing that popped into my head.
